News & Events Posting Guidelines

The Member News section of the Quickie is a service of Arts Kentucky.  For an event to qualify for inclusion in the Arts Kentucky Newsletter – The Quickie, the following guidelines should be followed:

• Only news from current Arts Kentucky members will be considered for MEMBER NEWS because of the large number of events submitted each week. 

• Organizations and individuals that are current Arts Kentucky members can submit information about their activities, events, accomplishments, etc.  Individual members that work for organizations that are not members should not expect to have information about organizational activities included in the Quickie.  For those members only personal activities will be considered.

• Events & news may be submitted by emailing to info@artsky.org. PLEASE submit using this format:
  Organization
  Event Name
  Date of Event
  Description (150 words max)
  Location
  Cost (if any)
  Contact for tickets or more information
• You do not need to submit an event more than once. We will hold all the information and include it in the Quickie when it is most timely.  (Typically the Monday a week before the event occurs.)  However, because of the large amount of submissions and limited space in the Quickie, an event will only be listed once.  If you have a preference about the issue it appears in please note that on your submission.
   

• Calls for Artists/Calls for Entries/Contests/Submissions will always be considered for inclusion in the Quickie from members and non-members because of their inherent value to our membership.
