Our Partners

Arts Kentucky works most closely with three important partners:
The Kentucky Arts Council, a state agency in the Commerce Cabinet, provides operational support funding for Arts Kentucky with state tax dollars. This funding supports educational workshops and trainings, communication and resource awareness initiatives, and networking among artists and arts groups across the state.

Americans for the Arts is the nation's leading nonprofit organization for advancing the arts in America. With 45 years of service, they represent and serve local communities, while creating opportunities for every American to participate in and appreciate all forms of the arts. AFTA's State Arts Action Network creates links between Arts Kentucky and other statewide organizations like it across the nation, and these collaborative partners create regular learning opportunities for each other that advance our common goals.
The National Endowment for the Arts provides both direct and indirect funding for Arts Kentucky, through their funding of the Kentucky Arts Council and through direct grants for arts education programs.

The NEA is a public agency dedicated to supporting excellence in the arts, both new and established; bringing the arts to all Americans; and providing leadership in arts education. Established by Congress in 1965 as an independent agency of the federal government, the Endowment is the nation's largest annual funder of the arts, bringing great art to all 50 states, including rural areas, inner cities, and military bases.
Arts Kentucky also collaborates with these like-minded organizations:
- Kentucky Alliance for Arts Education
- Southern Arts Federation
- National Assembly of State Arts Agencies
- ...and many more!
