NATIONAL ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS
Prior to adjourning for the holiday season, the U,S. Congress approved the omnibus appropriations bill, which included a $20.3M increase for the National Endowment for the Arts, the LARGEST increase in 30 years! It is due, in no small part, to your continued advocacy for the arts.
ACTION TO BE TAKEN: Go to CapWiz, put in your zip code and write to members of the Kentucky Congressional Delegation (your Senator and your Congressman). Thank them for their ultimate support of the '08 omnibus appropriations legislation. Tell them how increased funding to the NEA will support increased funding to the Kentucky Arts Council, advocacy work, and the important activities of YOUR organization.
