Arts Kentucky Promotes and Strengthens the Arts

Arts Kentucky works hand in hand with arts organizations and individual artists to create cities and localities with strong arts and culture, which build vibrant communities. We believe that creative communities not only enhance the quality of life for all who live there, but they also strengthen the local economy and nurture the creative young minds of our future leaders.

Advocacy

Our members believe in the arts enough to get involved with state and community leaders. Through Arts Kentucky advocacy education, our members are prepared to engage their elected representatives to stress the importance of positive public arts policy. Our online tools also help all arts advocates in Kentucky to make their concerns known. Click here to learn more about our advocacy work.

Education

Artists and arts organizations do exceptional work, but there are always areas where they could use some help. Arts Kentucky works with the Kentucky Arts Council and regional partners to present educational opportunities on a wide variety of topics. We believe that public and private grants for the arts are enhanced when arts organizations have the tools they need to be highly functioning in all areas of their work. Read more about our training opportunities.

Bringing People and Resources Together

At our core, what we do is to bring people and resources together. Our members, partners and friends receive regular emails from us that make them aware of arts happenings in the state; grants and workshops coming available; and ways they can improve themselves and their communities. We are working to make Kentucky a better, more creative place to live and work. Please join us and our partners.
